Wine Review: This dark ruby Pinot Noir from Bledsoe McDaniels opens with a fragrant strawberry, teaberry, and light oak bouquet with hints of mushroom and damp earth. On the palate, this wine is medium plus bodied with integrated plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, bright and vibrant. The flavor profile is blackberry and cinnamon blend with notes of rhubarb and strawberry. We also detected some hints of black pepper, loam, black tea, and gentle oak. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity and medium tannins linger nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot with Peking duck or with mushroom risotto. Enjoy - KWGTP
