Renaud's Pastisserie would get 5 stars and more if it wasn't for their outrageous prices. Baked goods are fantastic but prices are just crazy! chocolate croissant $6 - croissant $5 - almond croissant $7 and I don't even want to start about their cakes. May it be as delicious as it is, but that is it for me.

How can it get any better? The perfect cappuccino and a beautifully flakey croissant. A delightful patio space with interesting people sketching, laughing, and having a merry day.
Got here just as they were closing. The gentleman was polite but I used the touchscreen to order so that he could prepare for closing. My order was simple and he seemed grateful. But I missed the wall of cookies and take aways.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mar 31, 2024
Macarons: ok. I've had better but it comes in nice boxes.
Croissants: I'm looking for the best croissant in California. This one is a close one for 1st or second place. It comes down to preference. It has the correct texture and taste. It falls slightly in buttery taste (like a smidge 3 percent). If you like fluffier texture, you'll prefer the slightly more dense/layered croissants from Bree'osh. Both good and I would have both any day.
The Bomb: too mousse for me. I prefer more texture. The crunchy hazelnut on the outside added crunch factor but it was stale. ItHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 1, 2024Updated review4 check-ins
The most consistent and delicious place for breakfast in SB! The coffee and the breakfast is so fresh & delightful. It keeps me coming back.

The ingredients on the toast are so perfect! There's crispy radish, smoked salmon, avocado, tomato, capers & pickled onions. You have a choice of bread. I chose sourdough. They have the best breakfast potatoes they're crispy on the outside and well seasoned.
My Bf had hot chocolate, an omelette, and a side of potatoes. He really enjoyed his food.Jul 8, 2023Previous reviewI love their potatoes. They have a lot of dairy free options too. It gets crowded in the am, but it's easy to get in out and out because there's multiple ways to order.
Jun 3, 2023Previous reviewMy Cherie, not sure what took me so long to get here. I'm so happy we went. My flat white was yummy. I had avo toast with smoked salmon that was fire. My Honey had a parfait. It wasn't too crowded and we arrived at 10:30 am on Saturday.

Stopped here for a quick bite before we continued on the way to cemetery
The breakfast croissant for me, and fried breakfast sandwich, for my husband, were good. First time here. We've been to Harry's next door and thought we were going to eat there but found out Harry's didn't open until 11am. We were an hour too early. But decided to go into Renaud's. We will be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sep 6, 2023
One of the few pastry shops open until 4:00pm in SB.
We arrived at 3:15pm and were told that the kitchen was closed and that we could only order pastries and they could not be warmed up.
There is a kiosk screen on the counter when you first walk in that you can place your order. While I was using the kiosk, the man at the cashier was taking new orders in line.
I ordered a 16oz hot chai latte, a cinnamon hazelnut roll and an almond croissant.
The chai latte was perfection. I love that there was a lot of cinnamon topped off. The hazelnut cinnamon roll was so flakey and buttery. The cinnamon flavor was not overbearing but just right. The almond croissant was flakey with light almond, slight sweetness and buttery flavor.
Great pastries from what you would expect from a specialty bakery. Highly recommend.
They have indoor seating but you know the drill; when in SB you must enjoy the beautiful weather and fresh air. So we sat on the patio seating.Helpful 8Thanks 1Love this 7Oh no 0 - Dec 15, 2023

NO signage -
Came to this location today due to the 60cent non dairy charge vs 90 cent at their other locations. Even without the Axxess discount this is better especially when ordering a number of latte like drinks.
However NO Signage. no updates on their website. 1. They raised their prices to 90 cents per non dairy drink. 2. Yet they did not add Axxess back into the system at this location
No signage. Too high of non dairy milk upcharge. No notification of the 50% upcharge. Says they accept Axxess but they do not at Loreto plaza. Be transparent
Good pastries. Great deserts. No vegan options.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1Apr 21, 2023Previous reviewDifferent pricing at different locations is horrible policy Big surcharge for non-dairy milk
Arlington : 90 cents for oat milk upcharge. Seriously this is egregious . It's $.60 at the Gelsons location. So I came here to Arlington location today expecting the same price!
On top of this misleading practice- there is nothing advertised about the price. They should advertise the price. It was a big surprise to have a different charge for the oat milk. And I have no idea what it is at the Montecito location.
I am so tired of hearing the extra cost is due to their higher charge. Look at switch for good website and understand the situation. Penalizing more people of color who are lactose intolerant. You are also penalizing people who are choosing to be healthy and kind to the environment. Your also penalizing people who have no choice but to order nondairy milk because of their medical situation.
This is a moneymaking deal for places that do the up surcharge. Some places do a slight increase if you have to across-the-board. There are so many ways to manage it without penalizing lactose intolerant or climate aware folks. Be a leader around our environment and don't have charged or non-dairy milk. You'll also be doing the kind karmic thing
It becomes a deterrent for people to do a good thing.
Gek sons please location
Jose is fabulous. He gets 5 stars
He's so patient as I was figuring out their new order takeout here system. 60 cents for oat milk for sba is not bad. Though wish it was no penalty for us non diary drinkers.
Know that they don't offer Axxess at this location!
You do self-service ordering at a kiosk machine. So if there's a line, make sure that people are using both kiosks. This is a new thing. I like the concept.
Also please bring back the apricot tartAug 28, 2020Previous review1. Great job on my oat milk latte with cinnamon. Thank you
