Relate in love, think in love, work in love
In his first letter to the Corinthians, Paul writes, Let all that you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14)
How much would this transform our workplaces, universities, homes: if every conversation, every thought and every action was infused with the love that God has poured into our hearts (Romans 5:5)? How it would affect our witness to those around us if they encountered the love of God in the way we spoke! How it would transform our mood and attitudes by thinking about and approaching situations in the light of God's great love for us and a knowledge of the mercy he has shown us! How it would impact the quality of our work or study if we undertook our tasks as a thanks to God for His love, as an expression of our love! What a beautiful vision Paul sets out here so simply in these words "let all that you do be done in love."
Today, ask the Lord to give you a fresh reminder of his love for you, for those around you and for his world. Then go out today to relate in love, think in love and work in love.
