Off Topic Publishing is the passion project of Marion Lougheed.
Marion grew up in Canada, Benin, Belgium and Germany. She's a writer,
editor, and anthropologist. She's excited to be hosting the Off Topic
Writers' Conference on August 3. The Off Topic Writers' Conference is a
full day of talks and workshops to help writers develop your writing
craft and learn about the business side of things. The Writers'
Conference will take place in person in Orillia, Ontario, Canada. It

This year Marion feels lucky to have a lineup of award-winning
Canadian and Indigenous writers, including Drew Hayden Taylor, Finnian
Burnett, Lindsey Harrington, and K.R. Byggdin. In addition, an
experienced bookstore manager will talk about how to get your books into
bookstores. Off Topic Publishing also runs a monthly contest from the
1st to the 10th of each month, where every entry receives feedback from
