Access Sacramento is a non-profit community media center created to help YOU produce your own non-commercial TV and radio programs in order to protect your right to free speech by providing media training and distribution platforms so your voice gets lifted. Your TV programs are cablecast on Access Sacramento’s local cable TV channels 17 & 18, and streamed on our website, Roku, Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV.  KUBU "The Voice of Sacramento" is cablecast on these television channels between TV shows on the secondary audio platform (SAP), through our website, on any mobile device using the KUBU app, and on local low frequency radio in Sacramento, 96.5 FM. Field Production Class!

Learn how to video record using video & audio equipment from the Access Sacramento equipment lending library. You will learn three-point lighting basics, how to use high definition camcorders, tripod & audio equipment accounting for different field location conditions.

DID YOU KNOW that you can borrow equipment?  Access Sacramento members can borrow equipment from the lending library for a duration of up to five (5) consecutive days. If the fifth day lands on a weekend, the borrower will return the equipment by noon the following Monday. TV Studio Production Class!!

Want to use the Access Sacramento TV studio to make your own television show?  Taking this class is the first step in making this happen.

Virtual Orientation Class: Free and Mandatory for New Members-Tuesday, June 11th, 2024, 6:00-7:30 pm

Just signed up as a member? You will need to attend the virtual orientation on Zoom.us where you will learn a few things about a community media center, so everyone stays in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission rules. You have to attend an orientation before using the studio or borrowing equipment, but you are welcome to start classes before attending an orientation.
Congratulation to all of the amazingly creative, teen radio drama producers who wowed the experienced literary, theatrical and radio producer judges with their five-minute original audio productions.
