This week’s restaurant review takes as its subject Craft, the luxe American restaurant Tom Colicchio opened on East 19th Street in spring 2001. William Grimes, one of my predecessors in the titanium-and-velvet chair issued to the chief restaurant critic of The New York Times, awarded the place three stars a few months later. It was not reviewed again, until now. (Though Bill Clinton had a rock summit there not so long ago, with Keith Richards.)
