Goal Met! Fund Raiser a Success - 2/2/2024 |
Engine 557’s annual fund raising campaign has now ended with the goal of $85,000 in contributions met. In a ten-hour-period, 11 of 557’s supporters responded to a Facebook plea to reach the goal by contributing $1,535. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
557 has a surprising level of support from all over the country and the world with the $85,000 in contributions ccoming from Alaska, 19 other states, Germany, and the United Kingdom. Thank you for your support!
We will have exciting progress to report in the near future. To learn about it when it happens, follow “557 Restoration Company” on Facebook and see monthly status reports through “No. 557 Info” at the left.
The official end-of-year drive is over, but we will gladly accept contributions at any time of the year via credit or debit card or Paypal. You can also contribute in person at the Engine House where you can see 557 in person in all of her awesomeness.

Railroad solicits 2025 official art print

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Alaska Railroad (ARRC) is seeking entries for its annual commemorative artwork program by Friday, April 5, 2024. ARRC commissions the selected artist to create artwork as the basis for ARRC’s official 2025 commemorative print. Established in 1979, the program helps participating artists gain exposure with a connection to a beloved icon of Alaska. Entry deadline is April 5, 2024. [more]

Alaska Railroad makes first stop at new Wasilla depot location
