Neal is a three-time Emmy nominated writer, director, producer, and standup comedian whose third Netflix special, "Crazy Good" is now streaming.
In his two critically acclaimed previous Netflix specials, Neal reimagined the structure of a standup special as he dissected his struggles with depression, relationships, and self-doubt. Brennan's latest offering finds him returning to traditional standup while continuing to elevate the comedy special format by incorporating graphics and clips to emphasize his points. While Neal has benefited from working through the challenges he unpacked in the last two specials, Crazy Good finds the comic discussing the often witless and dishonest way mental health is delivered to most people.
Neal also launched his new hit podcast "Blocks" in 2023. Blocks the special explored the emotional and cultural "blocks" that he navigates and manages. It was so well-received, Neal decided to create a podcast and invite fellow comedians, actors, directors, writers, authors, musicians, and folks from all walks of life to share what their blocks are. The podcast premiered with a rare sit-down chat with late-night icon David Letterman.
