CHAO, MILAGROS

Milagros Chao obtained an MA in English Language and Literature from the University of Santiago de Compostela in June 2003. In October 2003 she was admitted to the PhD Programme in English Linguistics, and between September 2005 and September 2009 she worked at the University of Santiago de Compostela as an FPU researcher, under funding from the Spanish Ministry of Education. She also stayed as a visiting scholar at the Department of English of the University of Helsinki (autumn 2007) and at the Department of Linguistics of the University of Leuven (autumn 2008).

Milagros is now a teacher of English at a secondary school. She is also preparing a PhD dissertation on the origin and use of English dual-form adverbs, under the supervision of María José López-Couso.
