New York Skyscraper-1932 Lunch Break


Lunch atop a Skyscraper: is a famous photograph taken by Charles C. Ebbets during construction of the GE Building at Rockefeller Center in 1932. The photograph depicts 11 men eating lunch, seated on a girder with their feet dangling hundreds of feet above New York City. Charles Ebbets skyscraper  photo appeared in the New York Herald Tribune  October 2. Taken on the 69th floor of the GE Building during construction. Ebbets was a well known photographer and had his work published in newspapers such as New York Times, Miami Daily News, National Geographic, Field & Stream, US Camera, Look Magazine, Popular Photography
