Blanca del Rey founded her own company, BALLET FLAMENCO BLANCA DEL REY, aiming at developing performances based on a continuous choreographic creation and evolution about diverse theatrically-oriented flamenco rhythms.
At this moment in time, she obtains numerous grants and excellent critics, hence, becoming one of our best spanish flamenco representatives thoughout the world.

Besides performing in spanish cities, she also participates at the FESTIVAL ROMANO DE CARATAGO, Festival de Djem (Tunisia) and the Festival de Selinunte (Italy).

Blanca is awarded with numerous prizes , amongst them, the prestigious CALLE DE ALCALÁ and the PREMIO NACIONAL DE FLAMENCO.
By the year 1999, she starts offering various performances within the Madrid Government region. She also programmes a new Japanesse Tour and provides master classes on a regular basis at the GRAN TEATRO DE CÓRDOBA.

During the year 2000, she commences a new tour with the company which includes Logroño city (Teatro Bretón de los Herreros), Patios de Córdoba festival,... The "Pasión Flamenca" tour includes periodical performances in all theaters within the Madrid Government region.

In the same year starts the production of "Flamenco a Bocajarro". It is opened in in Pamplona (November 2000) with great success in public attendance and critics.

The FESTIVAL DE FLAMENCO DE JEREZ, hold in March, includes the Ballet Flamenco Blanca del Rey with the new performance "Flamenco a Bocajarro", having a clamorous public response.

In May, she takes part in a special dance event celebrated in the prestigious TEATRO REAL DE MADRID", where she pleased the audience with the "Solea del Mantón".
The company has been the first one performing in two consecutive editions at the "Festival de las Cuevas de Nerja". At this oportunity, she shares scenario with other renowned artists as the tenor, JOSEP CARRERAS, and the National French Ballet, amongst others.
The most important event during the year 2001 was the one celebrated in the "Teatro Carlo Felice" (Genova), within the XXXIII INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL: The premiére of the "Carté Blanche" spectacle, in collaboration with the genious MAURICE BÉJART.

 

Ballet Flamenco Blanca del Rey has performed with equal success before both critics and the public in leading theaters and festivals in Spain, Germany, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy, France, Great Britain, Greece, Belgium, Monaco, Russia, Taiwan, Hong-Kong, Japan, China, Tunisia, Jordan, India, Singapore, Indonesia, Brazil, Argentina, etc.
