Founded in 1947, Solco Basle Ltd is a privately owned, middle sized Swiss company manufacturing and distributing pharmaceuticals throughout the world. The headquarters is located near Basle, a city with an excellent geographical location for commerce and a European centre for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. The number of Solco personnel in Switzerland is 200 while the company employs over 350 worldwide. We produce our range of pharmaceutical specialities both in Basle and Warsaw, Poland under GMP approved conditions. With annual in-market sales of over SFr 100 million in 1997, the company enjoys a strong international position and is successful in Europe, the Middle East, Russia and other countries in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), South East Asia (SEA), China and Japan. Solco’s own affiliates are located in Germany, Austria, Poland, Russia and Ukraine. In the area of SEA, the number of Solco representatives is steadily increasing. In important countries such as Saudi Arabia, Japan, and China, we are represented by well established distributors with whom we enjoy traditionally long-lasting relationships.
