Lisa Kingston Muir

  • Renowned in Suffolk UK and California USA as an Equestrian and animal artist. She spent 10 years in California working with exotic animals for movie and television work. She learnt the art of natural horsemanship by spending many hours observing wild horses and domestic horses living in herds she also learnt the art of horse whispering from a native American Indian in New Mexico, and used her talents to help many horses over come their problems and become happier animals. Her favourite customer being a 4 year old Zebra csalled 'Zorro', to whom tragically fell out with his human trainers on a movie set. Lisa worked with him for over a year and soon gained his trust and companionship. She went on to star with Zorro in an american football superbowl commercial!!.
  • Since an early age Lisa has had a flare for drawing animals, to date she has produced over 1000 pet commissions, and some of her art work has been displayed in private galleries in America, Germany, Israel and a gallery in the New market race course UK. She has a great affinity for animals and it shows in every piece she draws.
  • Born in England in 1970 Lisa gained a Diploma in art and design, a diploma in animal behaviour, a diploma in animal science and care. Certificates in both Equine and Canine Psychology. Lisa also wrote a horse behaviour course for the open college network.. She has appeared on Anglia television UK, showing her horse whispering and art work, and appeared in the CGA 'Country' magazine' UK, 'Conquistador' horse magazine USA and 'Cheval' magazine France. She is a member of the society of Equestrian artists and the AQHA-USA. At present she is taking a certified course in Equine podiatry. Gaining the knowledge of how the horses hoof functions and natural barefoot trimming.

    She worked in the animation business for many years with her late father Peter Kingston. Together they wrote and illustrated over 40 published children’s books, and produced a children’s television series ’ Wimpole village.’ . and an animated cartoon pilot 'daring dinosaurs'.
