Monday generated a low turnout, but some nice Spanish Rioja red wines.

Lorinon 1990 Spain's Rioja region

- Medium tannin, smooth finish
- Concensus favorite

Cune 1991

- A bit husky, medium tannin

Monticello 1990

- Nice fruity bouquet, light tannin, light finish

Arbor Crest Sauvignon Blanc 1993

- Very Sweet - Marta
- Sweet and also a little dry - Anita
- Too Bubbly - Janet

Covey Run Fume Blanc 1993

- Sweet, but good body - Marta
- Sweet, Fruity, and Smooth - Todd
- Sweet - Janet

Columbia Crest Sauvignon Blanc 1994

- Sweet, but not very dry - Anita

Columbia Crest Chardonnay 1993

- This wine SUX - Ivan
- Yes - Todd

Los Vascos Cabernet Sauvignon 1993

- Nice Tannins - Gus
- Nice and Heavy - Robert
- Good, Good, Good - Janet
- Very good, flavorful - Anita

Caliterra Cabernet Sauvignon 1993

- Heavy Tannin; Young - Gus
- Not very refined - Robert
- Not a lot of body - Marta
- A bite without a lot of flavor - Anita
- No; Needs aging - Janet

Concha Y Toro Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon 1992

- Nice, fairly heavy; refined - Robert
- Good Fruit and body - Marta
- Longer it was opened the better it tasted - Janet
- Very good, probably a good bet to hang onto for a couple of years - Glenn
- Nice, smooth (Go with the Devil) - Gus
- Very nice, a little heavy - Anita

Santa Carolina Merlot 1993

- OK, taste a bit light - Robert
- Lighter, interesting fruit, good sipping wine - Marta
- Excellent Bouquet and very light - JimE
- Good sipping wine - S.
- Light but fruity and flavorful. A great, inexpensive wine for drinking now - Glenn

1993 Facelli, Johanesberg Reisling

- Yumm
- Very nice, not to sweet - Laura
- Crisp, clean, very drinkable - Gus

1992 Hogue, Johanesberg Reisling

- Sweet, but not complex
- A bit sweet, clean finish - Gus

1993 Snoqualmie, Johanesberg Reisling

- Drier than other two, crisp - Gus

1993 Wyndham Estate, Pinot Noir

- Smooth, somewhat unassertive, nice
- Nice, smooth, deep flavor, dry - Robert
- Very smooth, no bitter after taste - Laura
- Smooth, dry, not very memorable
- Smooth to dry, tasty - AnitaE
- Smooth dry
- Most consistent after tasting all three reds - Gus

1993 Carneros, Pinot Noir

- Great stuff, delicious and smooth
- Good value, nice, slightly bitter aftertaste
- My least favorite of the three
- I agree, least favorite, no body
- Bitter after taste - Laura
- Incredible nose when first opened, appeared to character over time - Gus

1992 Bridgeview, Pinot Noir

- OK, but a bit bitter. The other reds are better.
- Liked it the best, most character
- Fruity good body, much better with food, my favorite
- Very nice, second only to Wyndham Estate - Laura
- Nice tasting with a little bit of a bite - AnitaE
- Nice, fruity, slightly bitter - Gus
